If you are enrolled in Medicare, you are encouraged to take advantage of your free Medicare Wellness Visit each year.

Medicare Covers Two Wellness Visits:
Welcome to Medicare Visit (One-Time Visit)
Available within your first 12 months of enrolling in Medicare Part B.
This visit includes:
- A review of your medical and social history
- Education and counseling on preventive care
- Guidance on recommended screenings and vaccines
- A Health Risk Assessment to help create a personalized care plan
This visit helps establish a strong foundation for your ongoing healthcare.
Annual Medicare Wellness Visit (Every Year)
Available once every 12 months after you have been enrolled in Medicare for more than one year.
This visit focuses on:
- Reviewing your health status
- Updating your care plan
- Identifying risks early
- Keeping you on track with preventive services
What to Expect at Your Welcome to Medicare Wellness Visit
- Height, weight, and blood pressure checks
- Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation
- Simple vision screening
- Review of safety and depression risk
- Opportunity to discuss advance directives
- A written plan outlining recommended screenings and preventive services
- Information about what Medicare covers
Additional tests may be ordered if needed based on your health history. These would be subject to Medicare copay requirements.
