Dr. Cobra Chamblee rejoins the Castro County Healthcare team, moving back to the area from Florida. She resumes her role as a primary care physician with the Medical Center of Dimmitt.
From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Chamblee served as a physician with Castro County Healthcare, where she cared for clinic, hospital, and nursing home patients. During that time, she also served as trauma medical director, provided emergency department coverage, supported hospital policy development, coordinated concussion oversight for the local school district, and hosted medical students from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
“Dr. Chamblee’s return is meaningful for Castro County Healthcare and the patients we serve,” said Elisha Rosier, RN, BSN, CEO of Castro County Healthcare. “She understands the needs of this community and the importance of having high-quality care close to home. Her background in family medicine, emergency and inpatient care, and education will benefit both our patients and care team.”
At Medical Center of Dimmitt, Dr. Chamblee will care for children and adults with a wide range of everyday health needs, including sick visits, wellness visits, preventive care, chronic condition management, follow-up care, medication management, and specialty coordination,

In addition to her medical career, Dr. Chamblee is a published author, publishing a children’s book Brenby Conquers the Sea in 2022.
