Each May, Mental Health Awareness Month serves as a reminder that mental health is a vital part of overall health. Stress, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, and other behavioral health challenges can affect anyone.
That’s why Castro County Healthcare has invested in behavioral health services — to make timely care and support more accessible for more of our community.
This year, Castro County Healthcare launched behavioral health services at the Medical Center of Dimmitt, helping connect patients with licensed behavioral health professionals for evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing support through facilitated telehealth visits.
“Mental health is an essential part of a person’s overall well-being, and no one should have to go without care or support,” said Elisha Rosier, RN, BSN, CEO of Castro County Healthcare. “Our goal is to make it easier for people in our community to get professional support when they need it in a trusted and convenient care setting.”
Behavioral health services at the Medical Center of Dimmitt are available for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress-related conditions, sleep difficulties, and other emotional or behavioral changes. Visits take place in our private clinic space, so patients stay connected to their healthcare team.
Offering behavioral health services is part of Castro County Healthcare’s broader commitment to expanding access to needed services close to home. Because we believe that healthcare should encompass the full spectrum of well-being, including timely, meaningful mental health support that helps individuals and communities thrive.
During Mental Health Awareness Month and every day, Castro County Healthcare reminds anyone who may be struggling or supporting a loved one that help is available and seeking care is a sign of strength.
